How do I fix a Kung Zhu that isn’t moving?

My nephew broke his Kung Zhu after just a day or two. The wheels aren’t turning because something is wrong with the axle and gear box. It’s very possible the axle is bent because Nana informed me he was rough with it when pushing the back button repeatably. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible to a replacement part from the manufacture?
